• Extraction of bacterial nucleic acid from urines, vaginal/endocervical and rectal swabs.
• High reliability: internal control (IC), which is introduced into the lysis buffer at the extraction stage of EACH specimen
• High safety: includes positive and negative controls for each pathogen
• Amplification and simultaneous detection of up to four pathogens in one tube
• The pool approach is ideal for populations with an overall prevalence of less than 10%. The overall number of tests (screening and confirmation) is approximately halved, so reducing costs and staff time. There is no reduction in clinical sensitivity.

• This assay has been fully validated on an ABI7500 with the AgPath-ID™ One-Step RT-PCR Kit (Ambion, cat # AM1005).
