Legionella
INTRODUCTION
Legionella (Gram negative bacterium), including species that cause legionellosis (most notably Legionella pneumophila) has been shown to cause community-, travel-, and nosocomially acquired pneumoniae. Infection of humans is usually via inhalation of aerosols from a variety of natural or water systems (Templeton, Scheltinga et al. 2003).
