recomBlot Rubella IgG

Immunoblot test for the detection of IgG antibodies against Rubella virus in human serum and plasma.
Differentiation test to exclude primary rubella infection.

Mikrogen recomBlot Rubella IgG Test is a line immunoassay for the detection of IgG antibodies against all rubella-specific antigens important for reliable serological diagnosis. The test uses rubella virus lysate obtained from Vero cells. IgG conformation antibodies against rubella antigen E2 appear at the earliest three months after vaccination or infection. If the E2 band is detected, infection in the last three months can be excluded serologically.

Advantages

  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Optimal visualization of rubella structural proteins E1, E2 and c by electrophoretic separation of antigens under non-denaturing conditions
  • Clarification of inconclusive Rubella IgM results and diagnostically decisive information on the time of infection possible
  • Partial automation possible

Safe and reliable

Validity check by integrated, strip-specific cutoff and antibody class controls

Flexible and compatible

Combination of all Mikrogen recomBlot tests possible - uniform processing and interchangeable reagents

Standard

CE mark: The recomBlot Rubella IgG Test meets the requirements of the EC Directive 98/79/EC for in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
