recomWell Borrelia Canis

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) for the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies
against Borrelia burgdorferi in serum and plasma in dogs.

Mikrogen recomWell Borrelia canis tests are qualitative and quantitative enzyme immunoassays for the detection of IgG and IgM class antibodies against all three Borrelia genospecies (Borrelia burgdorferi sensu stricto, Borrelia garinii, Borrelia afzelii) in dogs. They are based on recombinantly produced, highly specific and immunodominant Borrelia antigens. Antibody detection against all three genospecies is possible in one test run.

Advantages

  • Highest sensitivity and specificity in the early and late phase of infection by using recombinant, immunodominant antigens:
IgM: OspC, p41/intern, VlsE (early antigens).
IgG: p100, OspC, VlsE, p18 (early and late antigens)
  • Optimal presentation without cross-reacting Borrelia proteins
  • Excellent discrimination between negative and positive results
  • Separate detection of IgG and IgM antibodies
  • No RF absorption necessary for IgM determination
  • Standardised serum liquor analysis possible - CE certified instructions
  • Use of single strips possible
